The blood work was done, the hemoglobin is still low but he is being pushed aside. Ever since he turned down the heart transplant I feel he has been LOST IN THE SHUFFLE. Call me crazy but nothing seems emergent anymore. It’s like he just here to survive and nothing more. This statement is true by all means but wanting him well enough to sustain his life isn’t their priority anymore.
I guess after typing all that, why would they go over and beyond to someone who chose not to be a part of numbers. Being tossed in this whole medical whirl wind has opened our eyes to almost everything imaginable. The cost of someone’s life is not even the case. It’s about making the medical world look good. It’s about keeping the numbers up and making the doctors and their procedures perfect. One little flaw in that system and it tarnishes the whole thing.
After making the decision not to receive the heart and moving forward, we never thought that we would be shoved aside. That thought never crossed our minds. He has their LVAD, you would think they would want him to live a long time. The longer he lives the better their numbers are, right? All we want is for them to fix what another doctor failed to do. He’s good with the LVAD, he’s good with his decision. He’s not good with having to deal with the other issues that have nothing to do with the LVAD. He just doesn’t want to be LOST IN THE SHUFFLE anymore.
