Sitting in the dark a tear falling down my cheek, am I strong or does this make me weak?
My body carries the burdens and the stress of the day, I try to be strong but moments make me sway.
Music is on and songs fill my mind, my eyes are closed and life is on rewind.
Wanting more happy, carefree moments is all I need. With God I always plead.
Answers not coming through, this is not the life I once knew.
The moments change us each step of the way, learning to live day by day.
It’s hard to struggle and just let things be, but I know I have it in me.
My faith brings me to my knees, I raise my hands and still believe.
These moments I’m living are mine to hold, the good, the bad my story being told.
I just want to live to be old in my skin and keep my moments alive for all to see, I’m here and my moments are me.
