Driving

Went out DRIVING yesterday we just stayed in the car, but it sure was a strange drive. We drove to a local state park and while driving we had the radio on and the windows down a little, no one was on the roads in the park and as we were driving it became really sad to me that life has stopped. People are scared, no one wants to be around anyone anymore, isolation is becoming the new normal.

As the drive continued I started to remember when Joe was in the hospital and I went home for a few hours and being alone in the house was horrible for me. DRIVING around was that horrible feeling of being alone. Sickness has been around for years, germs on grocery carts, people coughing and sneezing, it’s been here for years. This social distancing is not good for the human race it’s going to create high anxiety in a lot of people. This is creating a mess of a world. I know most of you never washed down a cart or took extra precautions when the flu was here. I know I didn’t. It’s driving everyone crazy. It’s ridiculous. Is this virus serious, Yes! But if you look up the loss of lives due to complications of the flu last year, it is greater than this virus will ever be.

We are going to continue to do some DRIVING and sight seeing while this is going on, we were quarantined long enough when Joe got his LVAD that just being in the car is a luxury to us. Sorry if some of you disagree, but you were not in our shoes months ago and we will be safe while just DRIVING. Enjoy life while you can. It’s your only option at this point.
