Distance

I read a quote today that really sums up life, “You won’t realize the DISTANCE you’ve walked until you take a look back and realize how far you’ve been”. In my life I’ve never noticed the DISTANCE until recently. As I stop and look at my life, the distance is so apparent to me now. The path I’m on has lead me on so many journeys, some good and some bad. It’s my journey and the path is a pretty long distance.

Over the course of a few years the DISTANCE that I have walked on my path still amazes me when I think about. The DISTANCE is the things that happen in your life while you’re on the path intended for you. So much has happened, my daughter got married, I was able to be there for all of my grandkids births, we moved, my son moved out of state, I reunited with my aunt and uncle before they both passed away, I reunited with my cousin and got to spend time with them camping, I walked away from my job, moved into a new house, went to Disney World twice, took a trip all by myself, buried my best friend, made new friends, started talking to my sister again, watched my husband survive things most people probably would of died from, lost friends, made new friends, lived in a hospital for almost five months, this is just to name a few and list goes on for miles.

Take time today to STOP and look back at your DISTANCE, you will truly be amazed at the journey you are on. I’m thankful for every step of my journey. It’s made me who I am today and I hope the DISTANCE I have yet to travel will take me to some amazing places. I’m look forward to each day and the new DISTANCE my life will bring.
